Dr. Ali Sadollah and Dr. Alireza Rezvanian in the field of "artificial intelligence and image processing", as well as Dr. Ali Montazeri Moghadam and Dr. Hossein Baharvand in the field of "Clinical Medicine", were ranked in the list of the top two percent of the world's most highly cited researchers.

The list of world's highly cited researchers is compiled by the Mendeley Institute affiliated with the Elsevier Publishing Base, as well as the collaboration of researchers from Stanford University, based on the data recorded by the Scopus Citation Database.

The main basis of this assessment is citation index and number of citations to scientific productions of researchers, number of citations without self-citation, researchers' H-index and the use of a combined citation index (a set of six separate citation indicators), were the criteria for evaluating the institute to determine the top 2 percent of highly rated researchers.
